This will be the second of a four-part series on the effective mentoring lifecycle. The topic will be “Mentoring Lifecycle, Phase II – Building the Relationship and Negotiating Agreement.”

We will discuss the importance of getting to know each other in the mentoring partnership, exploring each other’s experiences, talking about other helping relationships you’ve benefited from in the past, and building trust. Best practices will be offered for arranging logistics, setting expectations, giving and receiving feedback, as well as any limitations and preferences, such as communication style and frequency, that should be established to help set the cadence of your relationship.

Participants will receive a free workbook containing these tools and techniques. Future workshops will cover other phases of the mentoring lifecycle.
